When we are looking for any type of physical imbalance or weakness throughout the body, there is a couple simple things to remember.

Wherever the body shy’s away from, tells you that area is weak, it has become dormant or lazy.

Wherever the body collapses into or leans towards, tells you that area is quite tight or overloaded. The aim is to balance them out by lengthening the tight areas and strengthening the weak/lazy areas.

A few great exercises I have used in the past to help me determine the above are

  1. The deadlift
  2. Uni lateral lower body exercise (single leg toe touch is a great one)
  3. Lateral lunge
  4. Side bend

These are all exercises you should be able to do anywhere and can point out imbalance/weakness almost immediately.

Keep it simple
